François, who is still in his early 20s, has trained with and competed against his older brother Charles for the past ten years.

Known for his lightning speed and intelligent strategy, François added considerable depth to the national short track team that won the Team Relay in one of the most dramatic and lively Canadian sport events in history.

With immense potential and his brightest years in the sport still to come, the younger Hamelin has come into his own by adding one really important piece to his growing resume — Olympic Champion.

François, qui est toujours dans la jeune vingtaine, s’est entraîné et a compétitionné avec son grand frère Charles au cours des dix dernières années.

Reconnu pour sa grande vitesse et ses bonnes stratégies, François a ajouté de la profondeur à l’équipe nationale de courte piste, gagnante du Relais par équipe, dans une des finales les plus dramatiques de l’histoire sportive canadienne.
