The Enerplex

Agenda Sport Marketing is working with the City of Fort St. John on the sponsorship sales and marketing for their brand new facility called the Enerplex. The facility features only the fourth indoor long track speed skating oval in North America, and has recently announced the inclusion of satellite campuses for the North Peace School District and the PacificSport Centre.

Since 2001, Colin has developed and managed the CSCC’s sponsorship and marketing efforts. He’s built strong corporate partnerships and unique fund development programs that have returned nearly $2 million to support Canada’s best athletes that train in the Calgary area.

Playground to Podium

For 17 days in February, we learned that as Canadians, we are capable of much more than we know. Sport inspired us, but inspiration is only the beginning and now we all have to act. Agenda Sport Marketing with WinSport Canada teamed up with many of Canada's brightest Olympians to create social change through sport in a one-day event in support of KidSport Canada. The fund total reached $18,000 and left many corporate partners, media and members of the community with warm memories and a platform to create social change through sport.

Team KidSport

We share KidSport Canada's belief that no kid should be left on teh sidelines. So, together with five of the athletes we work with and the support of many others including Jarome Iginla, Catriona Le May Doan and Steve Omischl, we formed Team KidSport, a group dedicated to ensuring a future in Canada where all kids can play.

SportFit Challenge

Agenda Sport Marketing lead the province-wide pilot for SportFit Challenge, an Olympic-themed sport discovery opportunity for youth, to help Alberta establish a connection to the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. The initiative reached 1100 kids in seven communities across Alberta and also included a research study to measure registration levels in their recommended sports.

2010 Inukshuk Initiatives

Speed Skating Canada's Inukshuk Initiatives aim to educate the public about the sport of speed skating and create events and activities which will support the Canadian speed skating team in its relentless pursuit of excellence. As Marketing Director, Russell Reimer is involved in ongoing activities, including the corporate hosting program at SSC House during the 2010 Games.

FIS Snowboard World Cup

Canada Snowboard enlisted the support of Agenda Sport Marketing to develop a strong financial foundation for Calgary's first snowboard World Cup since the early 90s. The event, which showcases the best riders in the world 15 mins from the City's centre and generates over 200 hours of international television coverage, takes place at Canada Olympic Park's freshly-minted superpipe.

Burton Canadian Open

One of six stops on the Global Burton Open Series, Calgary hosted the lone Canadian stop for the second consecutive year in 2010. Agenda Sport Marketing worked closely wiht Burton to ensure the event had a strong funding foundation and helped promote Calgary as a sport tourism destination.

2010 Canada Post Freestyle Grand Prix

Agenda Sport Marketing worked with the Canadian Freestyle Ski Association to secure funding so Calgary could welcome the first-ever FIS World Cup to Calgary, featuring Canada's top freestyle skiing talent and the best international field of competitors leading into the 2010 Olympic Winter Games.

Calgary Sport Council

 When the Calgary Sport Council released its landmark study about the future of amateur sport in the city, Agenda developed the marketing strategy to strengthen the organization’s position as the “one-voice” advocate for amateur sport and guided the awareness and relevance-building campaign to engage Calgarians in a community-wide discussion.

The ATB Financial Classic &
Golf Day in Alberta

For the past three years, Agenda Sport Marketing has worked with Linx Marketing to secure funding for the ATB Financial Classic, the Canadian Tour's annual stop in Alberta. Additionally, we helped develop an initiative called "Golf Day in Alberta" for the PGA of Alberta, a province-wide initiative offering unprecendented access to golf learning opportunities for Alberta's youth from PGA of Alberta members and some of Canada's best players of the game.

  Sport For Life

Inspired by the powerful message of anti-tobacco advocate Barb Tarbox at a CODA event, Russell developed the Sport For Life program to use sport as a powerful tool to promote healthy and active tobacco-free lifestyles to Alberta’s youth. The program received the Barb Tarbox Award of Excellence in Tobacco Prevention in 2004. How did CODA connect with 40,000 Alberta youth and encourage them to live a healthy and active tobacco-free lifestyle and establish its position as a sport and wellness leader?

Bike Calgary Festival

Recognizing the consistent growth of mountain biking and its importance in Calgary’s active sport culture, Mr. Reimer co-founded the Bike Calgary Festival and lead a successful bid to bring a UCI Mountain Bike World Cup to the city for the first time, forming the foundation of the Festival.

TransRockies

TransRockies Challenge

Agenda Sport Marketing managed the brand development and sponsorship marketing for the event, repositioning the TransRockies Challenge from an established regional stage race to the Tour de France rocky-mountain style.

U of C Dinos Basketball

The University of Calgary Dinos Basketball team entered the 2007-08 season with a long-standing marketing challenge and a new opportunity. With new recruits and a solid core, including the talented Bekkering-brother combination, Agenda focused the team's promotional efforts to begin the season and continues to serve as a marketing advisor.
