Since 2001, Colin has developed and managed the CSCC’s sponsorship and marketing efforts. He’s built strong corporate partnerships and unique fund development programs - icluding the Sport Heroes Collection, Fuel For Gold, Business of Performance and Golf with an Olympian Tournament - that have returned nearly $2 million to support Canada’s best athletes that train in the Calgary area.

Enerplex in Fort St. JohnThe Pomeroy Sport Centre

Agenda Sport Marketing is working with the City of Fort St. John on the sponsorship sales and marketing strategy for their brand new recreational facility. After securing a naming rights partner in the Pomeroy Inn and Suites, the facility changed from the Enerplex to the Pomeroy Sport Centre. The facility features only the fourth indoor long track speed skating oval in North America, along with two NHL size rinks and an indoor running track. PacificSport Northern BC opened a satellite office in February 2011 and a new learning centre will open in Fall 2011.

2010 Inukshuk Initiatives

Speed Skating Canada's inukshuk initiatives aim to educate the public about the sport of speed skating and create events and activities which will support the Canadian speed skating team in its relentless pursuit of excellence. As Marketing Director, Russell Reimer is involved in ongoing activities, including the corporate hosting program at SSC House during the 2010 Games.

Team KidSport

We share KidSport Canada's belief that no kid should be left on the sidelines. So, together with five of the athletes we work with and the support of many others including Jarome Iginla, Steve Omischl, Catriona Le May Doan, we formed Team KidSport. A group dedicated to ensuring a future in Canada where all kids can play.

Playground to Podium

For 17 days in February, we learned that as Canadians, we are capable of much more than we know. Sport inspired us, but inspiration is only the beginning and now we all have to act. Agenda Sport Marketing with WinSport Canada teamed up with many of Canada's brightest Olympians to create social change through sport in a one-day event in support of KidSport Canada. The fund total reached $18,000 and left many corporate partners, media and members of the community with warm memories and a platform to create social change through sport.

 

Linx Marketing  

Linx Marketing

One thousand youth. One Day. One goal. Working with Linx Marketing, Agenda helped develop an initiative called "Golf Day In Alberta" for the PGA of Alberta, a province-wide initiative offering unprecendented access to golf learning opportunities for Alberta's youth, that may otherwise not have the opportunity, to learn from PGA of Alberta members and some of Canada's best players of the game.

Sport Fit

SportFit Challenge

Agenda Sport Marketing lead the provincial pilot for SportFit Challenge, an Olympic-themed sport discovery opportunity for youth , to help Alberta establish a connection to the upcoming 2010 Winter Olympic Games. The initiative reached 1000 kids in seven communities across Alberta and also includes a research study to measure registration levels in their recommended sports.

Calgary Sport Council
(now Sport Calgary)

When the Calgary Sport Council released its landmark study about the future of amateur sport in the city, Agenda developed the marketing strategy to strengthen the organization’s position as the “one-voice” advocate for amateur sport and guided the awareness and relevance-building campaign to engage Calgarians in a community-wide discussion. In 2009, Agenda co-founded the All Sport One Day initiative to give Calgary's youth, ages 6-12, a FREE day of sport discovery. The initiative has grown to include over 28 program partners and 6 community facilities.

Sport For Life

Inspired by the powerful message of anti-tobacco advocate Barb Tarbox at a CODA event, Russell developed the Sport For Life program to use sport as a powerful tool to promote healthy and active tobacco-free lifestyles to Alberta’s youth. The program received the Barb Tarbox Award of Excellence in Tobacco Prevention in 2004. How did CODA connect with 40,000 Alberta youth and encourage them to live a healthy and active tobacco-free lifestyle and establish its position as a sport and wellness leader?

The Business of Performance

The powerful vision that drives Canada’s Olympic athletes begins with a simple question: What does perfection look like and how do I get there? The process of building a corporate culture of no limits thinking begins with the same question. The Business of Performance takes the sport-business parallel to a whole new level by communicating proven sport methodologies through tailored workshops, seminars and continuing programs with organizations. Clients include Shell International, the City of Calgary, and ARC Energy Trust.

U of C Dinos Basketball

 The University of Calgary Dinos Basketball team entered the 2007-08 season with a long-standing marketing challenge and a new opportunity. With new recruits and a solid core, including the talented Bekkering-brother combination, Agenda focused the team's promotional efforts to begin the season and continues to serve as a marketing advisor.
